The Story of Sami's Ink Tattoo Bali

Sami Warsa is Komang's Grandfather. Sami used to sell handicrafts on the streets of Ubud and loved to play his flute... everyone would hear him and enjoy the music.  About 30 years ago Sami met two men who would become great friends, and create welcomed opportunities for the Warsa family ~ Paco from Argentina & David from Spain.

When Komang was only 13 years old, Sami introduced him to his two new friends... seven years later Komang flew to Barcelona knowing no Spanish, and only basic English, where he was offered a work opportunity to immerse himself in the world of tattoo art & body piercing.
​
After arriving permanently back in Bali in 2015, Komang has a well established Tattoo Supplies business, two Sami Ink Tattoo Studio's, and two local Sami Warrung's that you can enjoy a great meal an drinks at on Monkey Forest Road, and on Jalan Penastanan (ask any of the staff for directions when you come in).

Sami sadly passed away 10 years ago, yet his spirit & legacy continues to shine. He is dearly missed, yet his music still plays in the hearts of those who crossed his path.
